The Undergraduate School ensures that Christians with a calling to ministry can receive a sound foundation in both biblical and ministry-related courses.
There are students from more than 40 countries in the world registered in the undergraduate school, with the three-year BTh programme being the most popular programme. There are over 1000 students in the BTh.
Head of our Undergraduate School
Dr Willem Semmelink. The Undergraduate School is headed by Dr Willem SemmelinkHe has been Student Dean at the AFM of SA Theological Institute in Soshanguve, where he headed the Departments of Practical Theology & Church History. He was also responsible for courses in Youth Ministry and Counselling Youth at the Auckland Park Theological Seminary. Willem is Executive Director of Youth at HEART. Curriculum
Please note: The first-year curriculum consists of 10 courses, of which 6 courses are compulsory. Two of the remaining four courses must be second-year courses. The maximum number of first-year courses that can count towards your BTh degree is eight. (A first-year course is a course that has a 1 as the first numeral in its code, e.g. THE1121).
