It is very difficult for academic faculty and students to have any of their work published. Publishers are very reticent to publish books written by anyone other than the “big names” and even when they do, it is extremely expensive. Africa has suffered more than most as a result of this philosophy and the number of theological books written by Africans is disturbingly low.
To remedy this situation, in 2008 we opened our own publishing house called South African Theological Seminary Press and began publishing quality theological and ministry-related books at a very affordable price. The first book to be published under this banner was by our Vice-Principal Dr Kevin Smith and is entitled Academic Writing and Theological Research: A Guide for Students. You will receive a copy of this book as part of your enrolment.
Books may be ordered directly from SATS. Postage and packing to anywhere in South Africa: R30.

Biblical Principles for Christian Giving
By Dr Franklin Jabini
Giving to the Lord can be joyful. Christians should understand Biblical principles of giving rather than just one-sided teaching on tithes, prosperity or generous giving. The author distinguishes between freewill offerings and mandatory offerings that were given in both the Old and the New testaments.
