Philosophy
We see our role as providing lifelong learning (1) opportunities in theological and practical, church-related studies of a sound academic standard within an open university (2) type of environment. We believe that the responsibility for the learning process should be placed upon the student within the context of the local church. We see our role as a provider of reasonably priced, academically sound Christocentric, theological distance learning tuition, via the latest course delivery technologies.
- Lifelong learning describes the philosophy that in this day and age we all need to be in a continuing process of updating our skills and knowledge.
- In the Open University, life experience and less formal qualifications count towards the student’s acceptability. In addition, open universities usually allow substantial credits to be transferred from one discipline to another.
