Welcome to MySats, the online learning platform of the South African Theological Seminary. If you are a student at Sats, this site is for you. It is your one-stop shop for all you study needs. This is where you access your course materials, submit your assignments, meet other students, and interact with your lecturers. A great way to get an idea of how to use the site is to watch this MySats 101 tutorial.
If you already have a MySats account, you can proceed directly to your personal MySats page by clicking here. If you do not yet have an account, you can create one by using the 'Login' block at the top right corner of this page. There are some important documents on the left, which will help you if you are considering studying with Sats. Once you create a MySats account and register for a course, you will have immediate access to a number of additional resources that will help you as a student.
This site supports courses in three different formats: e-learning, download, and print. In an e-learning course, your work as part of a class of between 8 and 20 students. The course is rich in interaction, as you discuss the course materials with other students. The assessment is primarily through assignments and discussions. Download and print courses do not require group interaction. You work through the course materials by yourself, then submit your assignments and write your exam. In all three formats, you have access to a course facilitator who can help you with academic problems.
